1. It’s always bittersweet selling lenses like this… The purchase of this lens marked the beginning of my dedication to re-learning the process of shooting and developing 35mm film. Since then, I’ve moved to an autofocus body so that I can use Nikon’s newer 50mm 1.4G. That doesn’t sound as cool as “Zeiss Planar T* 50mm 1,4 ZF”, but I just couldn’t get used to the loss of wide-open sharpness on this lens. I need that wide-open sharpness much more often than I need the 270˚ focusing ring rotation, and I can create a soft, dreamy image using other methods. Seriously though, this lens was awesome in a lot of ways. Also, Happy 4th of July, America.
